What is the WWDC?
WWDC is short of the “Worldwide Developer Conference” and it is primarily software event, organised by Apple and it is a great chance for Apple to show to external developers all around the world their plans for upcoming releases so that they can start incorporating new features into their own apps.
About WWDC 2017
WWDC began in 1983 in Monterey, California. Since 1998, the conference has generally started with a keynote presentation. It was usually delivered by Jobs, resulting in their becoming termed Stevenotes. After Jobs’ 2011 resignation and death, his successor Tim Cook delivered the keynotes.
This year WWDC 2017 was held from June 5 to June 9, 2017, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.
During WWDC 2017 attendees could participate in hands-on labs with Apple engineers, and in-depth sessions covering a wide variety of topics.

Let’s talk about software announcements
This year, Apple showcased the next major update for iOS for the iPad and iPhone: iOS 11, and we would definitely agree that this is the most ambitious update to iOS.
It looks totally different – you can directly adjust things, you can force by touch get more information and more control. What you can’t do unfortunately is direct access to the wifi networks by long pressing on that.
Siri now got more natural voice but not only that, now it can also translate from English to Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Which is pretty cool – definitely much more efficient than Google Translation.
Two times better compression for camera captured videos which mean lees storage space used and less space used on the cloud. The same techniques Apple apply to replace JPEG capture with what they call HEP, which provides awesome quality of images and takes just half the size of your device.
With iOS 11 now you can take low light photography, using optical image stabilization, true tone flash, HDR which deliver high-quality photos. Not only that but now there is Loop with Live Photos, Bounce where Live Photo now can bounce back and forth and Capture the elements of time and movement with Long Exposure.
It features a new Siri watch face that’ll offer you information and complications based on your location and the time of day. The suggestions should get smarter over time as Siri understands how, and when, you use your Apple Watch.
Besides that, there is Toy Story-related watch faces, new exercises in the Workout app, and a redesigned menu that allows you to control your music playback without leaving the app.
macOS High Sierra
MacOS High Sierra brings improvements to the Mac experience. For starters, Safari offers Intelligent Tracking Prevention that’ll stop annoying adverts from following you around the internet.
Although with that being said, tvOS 11 barely got a mention at all. The company highlighted that Amazon Prime Music is coming to the Apple TV, and that was about it!
